Lesson #3
This is a lesson that focuses on way of life. The students will research a way of life for a certain First Nations group and fill out a given template. The idea of this assignment is for the students to gain as much knowledge as they can about a particular group of people and their way of life. In addition, it will be a hidden way of teaching the students the importance of oral tradition as many forms of ways of life are not in any literature but primarily through story telling.

This lesson focuses on the important role of families. In addition, it allows the students to brainstorm ideas on the roles and responsibilities of certain members of a family living within a community. It also opens the door to talking about the government structure that was in place with the First Nations before European contact and how family structure was resemblant of the community structure.
